Gray Media’s Charleston, SC operation is seeking a full-time Lifestyle Videographer/Editor to join our Emmy-winning Palmetto Life team. The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller with cinematography and editing skills, collaborating daily with lifestyle producers and the sales team to shoot, edit, and deliver engaging segments and sponsored content.

Qualifications

• Portfolio with DSLR/mirrorless cinematography and Premiere editing.
• Strong storytelling and on-time delivery under deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to lift 30 lbs.
• FAA Part 107 certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Ability to work Saturdays through Wednesdays.

• Gather information, story elements, and video in the field.

Job Summary / Description

WCSC Live 5, the #1 station and CBS affiliate in Charleston, SC, is seeking a full-time Lifestyle Videographer/Editor to join our Emmy-winning Palmetto Life team.

The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller with strong cinematography and editing skills who thrives in a fast-paced, creative, client-focused environment. You'll partner daily with lifestyle producers and our sales team to shoot, edit, and deliver compelling segments and sponsored content.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit daily lifestyle segments, sponsored content, and promos
• Staff booth for Sunday morning show; shoot and edit daily segments Saturday through Wednesday
• Gather information, story elements, and video in the field
• Set up and operate live shots as needed; operate LiveU backpacks solo or with a reporter
• Obtain FAA Part 107 Drone Certification (training support provided)
• Maintain a professional manner in the field with clients, sponsors, and community partners
• Manage projects, media, and equipment maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

• Creative reel demonstrating DSLR/mirrorless cinematography, lighting, audio, and Adobe Premiere editing
• Strong storytelling, time-management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under daily deadlines, including weekends
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and operate field equipment
• FAA Part 107 certification preferred, or willingness to become certified
• Ability to work Saturday through Wednesday
