Indiana University Health is seeking a Paramedic in Indianapolis, Indiana. This full-time role involves providing emergency and non-emergency care, transport, and treatment for patients of all ages.
Applicants are required to have a High School Diploma, certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and EMT-P Indiana Paramedic license. A valid driver’s license is necessary, and a minimum of one year ALS Paramedic experience is preferred.
Full Time, 3-12 Hour Shifts / Bloomington, IN
Responsible for the care, transport, and treatment of ill/injured patients in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Responsible for relaying and receiving information regarding the patient and patient condition. Responsible for complying with all regulatory requirements, departmental policy and practice, safety policies and practice, hospital policies, and operating within the scope of a Paramedic as defined by the state of Indiana. Must possess the required knowledge and skills to appropriately care for and manage neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients. May be required to drive ambulance to and from referral hospital, transport patients, obtain consents and authorizations from patient or legal guardians, record time of ambulance run, process billing and daily reports.
Provide emergency and non-emergency care, transport, and treatment for patients of all ages; communicate patient information; comply with regulatory and hospital policies; operate ambulance and uphold Paramedic scope of practice.
