Full Time/Three 12 hour shifts (set schedule), Bloomington, IN

Responsibilities:

1. Care, transport, and treatment of ill/injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations.
2. Relay and receive information regarding patient condition.
3. Comply with all regulatory requirements, departmental policies, safety policies, hospital policies, and operate within the scope of a Paramedic as defined by Indiana state law.
4. Manage neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients.
5. Potentially drive ambulance and transport patients.
6. Obtain necessary consents and authorizations from patients or guardians.
7. Record ambulance run times and process billing and reports as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications; EMT-P Indiana Paramedic license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent to be obtained within initial probationary period.
• Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) or equivalent within initial probationary period.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications within initial probationary period.
• Minimum of 1 year ALS Paramedic experience preferred.
• Ability to make independent clinical and operational decisions in challenging environments.
• Additional requirements for Community Paramedic role: completion of IUH BMH Community Paramedic/Integrated Healthcare Core Curriculum within 6 months, with a minimum of 4 years paramedic experience preferred.
