Our Lifeguards support the organization’s mission by intentionally welcoming members into the Y Community, connecting them with others, and maintaining certification-level physical and mental readiness to keep our community members safe.
Part-Time & Full-Time positions are available with a flexible schedule.
We will train any interested and qualified applicants, including covering the cost of their Lifeguard Certification after completing the interview and approval process.

We’re looking for a new team member who can:
- Be professional, responsible, mature & energetic.
- Demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
- Create a safe environment, in which all individuals feel welcomed and respected.
- Build relationships with, and among, members and program participants.
(All while remaining alert and observant of your assigned aquatic area of responsibility, of course!)
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 15
- Is punctual and dependable.
- Posses the ability to remain calm and think critically in stressful situations.
- Certifications: Professional rescuer CPR/AED, first aid, and emergency oxygen administration
- Current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
