Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNC Greensboro) is seeking a Lifeguard to oversee pool safety and enforce rules for swimmers and participants in the RecWell facilities. This temporary hourly role requires vigilance, clear communication, and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies.

Qualified candidates will hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard and Waterfront certifications, and be willing to obtain the latter within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
• Current American Red Cross Waterfront Certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days after hire.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
• Work less traditional shifts such as early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor water activities and ensure pool safety by enforcing rules.
• Provide emergency assistance when necessary and communicate safety policies to patrons.
