Job summary

YMCA of Central Maryland is seeking a Pre Lifeguard associate to support safety, cleanliness and pool operations under the Swim Director. You will complete required training and certifications to become a certified lifeguard, assisting with member needs and ensuring a safe pool deck environment.

Responsibilities include enforcing YMCA policies, coordinating program activities, and engaging with families and youth to deliver positive experiences while upholding the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty,

Qualifications

• Focus on quality experiences and engagement within programs, services, and activities.
• Must have understanding of the age and stages of youth development, and work with children.
• Support communication between associates and members/parents.
• Informing proper leaders of operating challenges, equipment/supply needs, and/or conflicts during operating hours.

Responsibilities

• Enforces YMCA policies, guidelines, and best practices.
• Encourage member engagement and outstanding member experience.
• Foster a positive environment for families, children, and peers.
• Coordinate facility usage for assigned programs and activities.
• Support center's annual support campaign and associate giving and engagement.
• Attend and participate in all meetings as assigned.
