Lifeguard & Swim Instructor, Evenings and Weekends

Job Overview

As a Lifeguard & Swim Instructor, you will ensure the safety of our members in the pool area, assist in teaching swim lessons, and help maintain a clean and accessible pool environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor the pool, actively scanning for safety.
• Rescue distressed swimmers using proper techniques and equipment.
• Test and maintain pool water quality (chemical levels such as pH and chlorine).
• Provide first aid or CPR to injured persons as needed.
• Instruct swim lessons (training and certification required).

Qualifications

• Ability to swim, tread water, instruct, and perform rescues.
• Experience teaching Red Cross swim lessons for ages 6 months and up.
• Valid CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications; Water Safety Instructor preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Availability on weekends and weekdays as specified.

Salary & Schedule

Hourly rate: $15 for Lifeguard, $20 for Instructor (must work at least one lifeguard shift). Schedule includes weekends and potential weekday hours.
