Job summary

MVP Sports Clubs in Rockford, MI is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the safety of members in our aquatic facilities. You will be part of the Aquatics Department and report to the Aquatics Manager.

Requirements include a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification, with the ability to obtain Lifeguarding certification within 6 months if needed, and the willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to obtain Lifeguarding certification within 6 months if previous certs exist.
• Excellent water rescue skills and safety awareness.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Proactively enforce pool rules and MVP policies.
• Actively scan the pool and monitor safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate an EAP response.
• Wear lifeguard equipment while on duty as required.
• Inspect the aquatic facility daily and report hazards.
• Maintain cleanliness of aquatic areas and restrooms.
• Promote group swim lessons and aquatics programs.
• Attend training sessions and maintain appearance in MVP uniform.
• Other duties as assigned.
