Job summary

MVP Sports Clubs is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure member safety and respond to emergencies. You will be part of the Aquatics Department reporting to the Aquatics Manager, enforcing MVP policies and local regulations. This position emphasizes proactive supervision and rapid response to incidents.

Required: high school diploma or 16+, plus current ARC Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certification or equivalent. Weekend/holiday availability and uniform wear are expected.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification required (ARC or equivalent).
• Strong swimmers with rescue skills and first aid know-how.
• Ability to follow safety rules and respond to emergencies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Proactively enforce pool rules and MVP policies.
• Actively scan the pool and monitor for safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies and guide additional responders.
• Wear lifeguard equipment and be rescue ready on duty.
• Inspect daily facility conditions and report hazards.
• Communicate member concerns to supervisor and log them.
• Maintain aquatic areas and restrooms; assist with duties.
• Conduct water chemistry tests as required.
• Promote swimming lessons and aquatics programs.
