Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Summerlin is seeking a Lifeguard / Swim Instructor to ensure patron safety and provide the Golden Experience for students and families. Under supervision, you will monitor facilities, teach and reinforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies with trained EMS support.

The role emphasizes teamwork, cross-training, and a positive, high-energy culture focused on safety and growth.

Qualifications

• Must have current Lifeguard and CPR certifications.
• Ability to work with children.
• Prior related leadership and teaching experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must provide proof of vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons and ensures safety.
• Communicates facility rules to patrons.
• Provides emergency care and coordinates with EMS when needed.
• Ensures EMS contact pathways are followed for emergencies.
• Cross-trains in multiple roles and covers when needed.
• Provide a Golden Experience to students, families, and team members.

Role: Lifeguard / Swim Instructor

Summary: Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of Goldfish Swim School - Summerlin by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of an accident or emergency
• Communicates the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Ensures that medical services are contacted by most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency
• Advance through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary
• Provide a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members

Job Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have current Lifeguard and CPR certifications.
• Ability to work with children
• Prior related leadership and teaching experience is preferred (supervisory roles)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to provide proof of vaccination
