Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Hudson is seeking fun and energetic swim instructors to teach children aged 4 months through 12 years in a 90-degree pool. No prior instructor experience is required; training is provided and schedules are set for consistency.

You will ensure patron safety under supervision, enforce pool rules, and deliver friendly, professional service while developing our students into confident, lifelong swimmers.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Prefer 6 months experience as lifeguard at an aquatic facility or camp.
• No prior instructor experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility and act to secure safety during emergencies.
• Communicate facility rules to patrons fairly and consistently.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrives.
• Present a professional appearance and maintain high customer service standards.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility as directed.
• Assist with closing and securing the facility.
• Work one swim instructor shift per week.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Summary: Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of the Goldfish Swim School by preventing and responding to emergencies. Wears the required Goldfish Swim School uniform while on duty.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an accident or emergency.
2. Communicate the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently.
3. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. 4. Ensures that medical services (EMS or other) are contacted by most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency.
4. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintains a high standard of customer service.
5. Completes accident/incident reports as necessary.
6. Maintains a clean and safe facility as directed/assigned.
7. Assists with closing and securing the facility.
8. Work 1 swim instructor shift per week
9. All other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications. Prefer 6 months experience as lifeguard at an aquatic facility or camp.

Work Environment

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
