Job summary

Loews Hotels & Co is seeking an experienced Recreation Supervisor to lead the pool services at our Orlando resort. The role focuses on delivering safe, enjoyable pool experiences while coordinating a talented team of attendants and activities for guests.

You will ensure safety standards, manage equipment and inventories, and collaborate with vendors to create engaging pool-side experiences for families and guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recreation/aquatics supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest safety in all pool areas and ensure adherence to pool safety standards.
• Maintain condition of pool safety equipment.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of pool, beach, guest shuttle, and pickle ball courts.
• Coordinate welcoming of guests to pool area and provide towels.
• Supervise pool towel inventory.
• Supervise guest pool activities, including pool movie nights and children's activities.
• Partner with outside vendors to schedule pool area activities.
• Assist in preparing weekly schedules for recreation attendant team.
• Train and coach recreation attendants to optimal performance.
• Supervise inventory of recreational equipment.
• Oversee pool furniture cleaning, maintenance and placement.
• Attend departmental meetings; perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking An experienced and dynamic Recreation Supervisor to lead the pool services at Loews Hotels. This role is responsible for providing exceptionally enjoyable and safe pool experiences for resort guests. This exciting role ensures our team delivers top-tier service and quality, while consistently exceeding guest expectations within our beautiful pool and recreational areas.

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for maintaining guest safety in all pool areas, ensuring professional and consistent adherence to all pool safety standards
• Responsible for maintaining condition of all pool safety equipment
• Supervises day-to-day operations of pool, beach, guest shuttle, and pickle ball courts
• Coordinates welcoming of all guests upon arrival at pool area and the immediate provision of towels
• Supervises pool towel inventory at all times
• Supervise all guest pool activities, including but not limited to pool movie nights and children's interactive activities
• Partner with outside vendor services to confirm schedule of pool area interactive activities
• Assist in preparing weekly schedules for recreation attendant team
• Train, spot check, and coach recreation attendant team to optimum performance
• Supervises the issuance and inventory of recreational equipment
• Supervises the cleaning, maintenance and placement of pool furniture
• Attends all departmental meetings as scheduled
• Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications Includes:

• Minimum one year of recreation/aquatics supervisory experience
• Excellent guest service skills required
• Excellent oral/written communication skills required
• Strong swimming ability and water confidence required
• Must be able to complete lifeguard certification, including passing written and physical exams
• Licensed Lifeguard Instructor certification preferred
• Must be able to withstand outdoor elements for long periods of time.
• Ability to regularly push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and written with team members, leaders and guests required.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
