About The Position

The Lifeguard ensures the safety of facility members by preventing and responding to emergencies. This role reports to the Aquatics Manager and involves enforcing pool rules, monitoring safety, responding to emergencies, inspecting the facility, communicating with members, maintaining cleanliness, conducting water tests, and promoting programs. Certification in Water Safety Instructor or equivalent is preferred for teaching swim lessons.

Requirements

• High school diploma or 16+ years old
• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification or equivalent
• Ability to perform water rescues and First Aid effectively
• Excellent communication skills
• Availability to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to perform job tasks
• Preferred: Water Safety Instructor certification
