Job summary

Qualifications

• AGE: Minimum age of 16.
• MANDATORY CERTIFICATIONS: YMCA Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR certifications or equivalents.
• Provisional exception: hire before certs if enrolled in Lifeguard course within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous, scanning of pool and aquatic area.
• Enforce safety rules and policies for pool and aquatic area.
• Perform equipment checks and ensure availability of gear.
• Respond to emergencies per YMCA procedures and document actions.
• Build positive relationships with members and staff.
• Attend staff trainings and uphold safety and risk management policies.
