Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring lifeguards to oversee pool safety and patron well-being. This role welcomes individuals aged 16 and over who are committed to water safety, teamwork, and reliable supervision of swimmers.

Responsibilities include monitoring pool activity, following safety procedures, and maintaining a clean deck. The YMCA emphasizes leadership development, flexible schedules, and opportunities to grow within a nonprofit team dedicated to community health.

Qualifications

• Age 16+ requirement.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course.
• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills.

• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
