Job summary

The City of Westminster, CO is seeking an Hourly Lifeguard to ensure guest safety at municipal pools. The role covers surveillance, policy enforcement, and emergency response, with shifts in evenings, weekends, and holidays.

A minimum commitment of 12 hours per week is required, and staff may be assigned to multiple City pools as needed. Qualified candidates will have StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Training, First Aid/CPR/AED certifications, and the ability to pass a swim test.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Ability to pass StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Training within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass a swim test during the interview process.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities in pool areas to prevent drownings, injuries, or accidents.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Provide quality swim lesson instruction.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning duties around pool and facilities.
• Enforce pool rules and support guest service philosophy.
• Attend monthly in-service trainings.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
