Job summary

Hershey Lodge is seeking energetic lifeguards to ensure guest safety at the pool and attractions. The role requires vigilance in enforcing rules, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for all guests.

Qualified candidates must complete the Ellis & Assoc. Lifeguard Training Program provided and paid for by Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. Excellent guest interaction and a positive, professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to swim 100 yards without resting.
• Must be able to dive and retrieve a 10 lb brick from 8 ft depth (or deepest depth).
• Must tread water for 1 minute without using arms.
• Must exit pool safely without stairs or ladders when required.
• Ability to handle stressful conditions and emergencies with accountability.
• Must be in good physical condition and have normal vision (20/25).
• Prior lifeguarding experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enforce pool and attraction rules and safety regulations.
• Anticipate, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies.
• Monitor equipment and supplies.
• Maintain work area and surrounding environment.
• Participate in weekly lifeguard in-service training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
