Job summary

A municipal aquatic center is seeking a Lifeguard to oversee the safety of pool patrons at the Greenbelt Aquatic & Fitness Center. Responsibilities include enforcing pool rules, providing first aid, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a safe swimming environment. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and hold current certifications in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR, and AED. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and hold current Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
• Ability to tread water for 2 minutes without hands.
• Swim 20 yards and retrieve a 10lb brick in 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety and wellbeing of all facility patrons.
• Maintain order and enforce swimming pool rules.
• Provide aid and administer first aid as needed.
• Assist with cleaning tasks and pool maintenance.
