Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum age 15.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, first aid, and emergency oxygen administration.
• Current YMCA Lifeguard certification or equivalent.
• Complete all required Redwoods trainings by deadlines.
• Support child abuse prevention policies and reporting.
• Must maintain lifeguard readiness and YMCA standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintains active surveillance of pool area.
• Adheres to emergency procedures and safety rules.
• Responds to emergencies promptly and documents reports.
• Performs equipment checks and hazard inspections.
• Maintains accurate pool records as required by YMCA and health dept.
