Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Muskegon, MI is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to lead and teach Learn to Swim sessions at The Clubhouse Aquatic Center.

You will supervise students, enforce safety rules, and assist in emergency response while delivering engaging, inclusive instruction. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months+ of experience, Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification (or equivalent), and First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of related training/experience.
• Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or equivalent.
• First Aid and CPR for professional rescuers preferred.
• Strong communication and group leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary supervision and instruction of swim students, both youth and adults.
• Enforce policies and procedures in collaboration with Lifeguards.
• Assist in water rescues and follow emergency response plans.
• Maintain records of attendance, progress, incidents, and feedback.
• Support safety, cleaning, and safety inspections of spaces.
• Develop learning programs with Aquatics Director to fit member needs.
• Lead program development and monitor budgeted expenditures.
