The City of Pasadena is seeking a Lifeguard Instructor to lead, supervise, and ensure safety for all class participants in ARC Lifeguard and CPR programs. Responsibilities include organizing materials, observing participants, and providing corrective feedback.

This year-round part-time role supports Aquatics staff, audits lifeguards monthly, and assists in recruitment, events, and compliance with facility rules. Must hold ARC certifications and 2+ years lifeguarding experience.

Formación

• Must have 2 years lifeguarding experience.
• Hold American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification and Lifeguarding certification.
• CPR with AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Bloodborne pathogens training required.
• Preferred: CPO or AFO certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Instruct, lead, supervise, and ensure safety of all class participants.
• Maintain appearance and readiness of instructional materials and equipment.
• Observe and provide feedback to participants and correct as instructed.
• Plan teaching outlines aligned with ARC Lifeguard and CPR programs.
• Assist in training and managing pool staff to meet standards.
• Audit lifeguards monthly and document in HydroApps software.
