Requirements

Midwest Pool Management - Kansas City is hiring lifeguards for the 2025 summer season. MPM-KC manages swimming pools all over the Kansas City metro area, offering fun and safety for the citizens of the KC area, clients, and employees. Below are the requirements to join our team at MPM-KC:

• Applicants must be 15 years or older by the date of their lifeguard certification class.
• Prioritize safety by preventing accidents and performing rescues when necessary.
• Complete the StarGuard Training Program (or equivalent).
• Recognize potential dangers and take steps to reduce risks.
• Maintain proactive scanning and attitude.
• Present a professional appearance and attitude, including wearing the required uniform (staff shirt, sunglasses, hat or visor, water bottle).
• Be familiar with the programs offered at your assigned facility, such as Family Fun Days and Water Aerobics.
• Treat all patrons with kindness and respect, providing excellent customer service.
• Enforce pool rules consistently.
• Keep pools and surrounding facilities clean, including vacuuming pools and cleaning bathrooms and equipment.
• Know your schedule and arrive on time.
• Be available for a minimum of 18 hours per week, working at least four weekend days per month, including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Lifeguards must be able to swim.
• Maintain a positive, productive attitude and have fun!
