Job summary

Livermore Area Recreation and Park District seeks a Lifeguard II to monitor pool safety, enforce rules, and open/close facilities. You will perform rescues, administer first aid, CPR, and AED as needed, and assist with swim lessons and events in a busy aquatics setting.

Must be at least 16, possess American Red Cross Lifeguard certification, and provide high-quality customer service while ensuring a safe environment for patrons.

Qualifications

• One season of experience performing American Red Cross certified lifeguard duties.
• Lifeguard knowledge includes rescuing, first aid, CPR and AED procedures.
• Ability to enforce pool rules, monitor patrons, and respond to emergencies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide aquatic safety and supervision for patrons; monitor water, decks, and ancillary areas.
• Enforce district policies and pool regulations; advise patrons on safe activities.
• Open/close the facility; check equipment; manage lane lines and alarms.
• Assist with aquatics programs or events as needed; maintain logs and records.
