Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Lifeguard I at Huntington YMCA to guard the pool, enforce rules, and ensure patron safety. Under supervision of the Aquatics Director, you will respond to emergencies and assist with branch safety drills while maintaining a clean, safe pool environment.

Qualifications include being at least 16 years old and having CPR/First Aid/O2 training or willingness to obtain certification. Shifts vary; summer incentives may apply with a higher rate during peak season.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen (O2) certifications or training provided.

Responsibilities

• Guard the pool and ensure patron safety.
• Enforce pool rules and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with branch emergency protocols and drills.
• Provide CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen as needed.
• Complete incident reports promptly.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness and safety.
