Job summary

JCPRD is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the safety of visitors at its aquatic facilities, including the Shawnee Mission School District Aquatic Center and local beaches. Successful candidates will guard against emergencies and promote a safe recreational environment.

The position offers paid training for American Red Cross certification, a flexible part-time schedule, and opportunities for seasonal passes.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 15 years old and older.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and Waterfront Lifeguard Certification required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of patrons at aquatic facilities.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and administer first aid as needed.
• Educate patrons on facility rules and regulations.
