HealthFitness has a great opportunity for a temporary, full-time Lifeguard at our client site in Delhi Township, Ohio. You will monitor and ensure a safe and friendly environment for all aquatic facility members and guests, with shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements include 18+ years old, American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED First Aid (Deep Water), and at least 1 year of lifeguarding experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid, including Deep Water.
• At least 1 year of lifeguarding experience.
• Dependable with strong customer service skills and safety awareness.
• Competent in MS Office and basic database tools.

Responsabilités

• Monitor safety and well-being of patrons using aquatic facilities.
• Enforce rules and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Perform chemical testing and document results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times daily.
• Attend staff meetings and training; fold towels, clean, and maintain the facility.
• Uphold a professional attitude and assist as needed.

As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.Schedule: Temporary, 30 hours per week; Starting in October and ending in mid-February. Ideal candidate will have flexible schedule with ability to work early morning, evening, and weekend shiftsResponsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.Key AccountabilitiesMonitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.Enforce and explain rules as necessary.Respond appropriately to any emergency.Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.Attend all required staff meetings and training.Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.Maintain a professional attitude.Other duties as needed/assigned.Minimum RequirementsMust be at least 18 years old.American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification. Must include Deep Water. Comparable certifications from alternate accrediting agencies may be considered.At least 1 year of lifeguarding experience.Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:500 yard swim.Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.The compensation range for this role is $15.00 - $17.00 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
