Job summary

YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley is hiring a lifeguard responsible for the safety of all patrons in and around the pool area. The role requires active supervision, rule enforcement, and incident reporting to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Open to candidates 16 years of age and older, with lifeguard certification. The YMCA provides training and values-based service as part of a supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be lifeguard certified.
• Open to candidates 16 years of age and older.
• Employee responsibilities include enforcing aquatic rules and maintaining pool safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all pool patrons by supervising water and deck areas.
• Enforce aquatic rules and procedures consistently and fairly.
• Record and submit incident reports as required.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness during downtimes.
• Wear rescue gear while on duty.
