YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley is seeking a lifeguard in Le Claire, IA. You will ensure the safety of patrons in and around the pool area and respond quickly following the 10-10 rule.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification required or provided by YMCA
• Ability to enforce pool rules and maintain safe environment
• Excellent observation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of all pool patrons and the surrounding area
• Maintain constant surveillance using the 10-10 rule
• Enforce aquatic rules consistently and fairly
• Wear rescue gear while on duty and respond to incidents
• Keep pool area clean when not performing primary duties
• Accurately complete incident reports as required
