Job summary

The YMCA of Greenville seeks a part-time Lifeguard to oversee the pool, deck, and surrounding aquatics areas, ensuring safe swimming conditions and a welcoming, respectful atmosphere. You will monitor swimmers, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies following YMCA procedures.

Ideal candidates hold current Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications; training in water safety and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or YMCA) or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool, deck and aquatics area to ensure safe swimming conditions.
• Enforce pool rules and water safety policies; respond to emergencies with CPR/First Aid.
• Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and program participants.
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and in-services.
