Job summary

YMCA of Metro Denver is seeking Lifeguards to safeguard pools and create a welcoming environment for members and guests. You will guard the water, enforce rules, assist with swim lessons, and embody the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

This role requires current Lifeguard certification plus CPR/AED and First Aid. We offer flexible scheduling, free YMCA membership, paid training, and growth opportunities within the aquatics team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and a strong swimmer.
• Responsible, attentive and eager to learn.
• CPR/AED, Oxygen Administration, and Standard First Aid or ability to obtain before hire.
• American Red Cross/YMCA Lifeguard certification or ability to obtain before hire.
• High customer relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area.
• Enforce safety rules in a professional and respectful manner.
• Respond quickly and confidently in emergency situations.
• Provide first aid and emergency care when needed.
• Educate participants on pool rules and enforce rules as required.
