Job summary

The City of Westminster, CO is seeking an Hourly Lifeguard to ensure guest safety, monitor a municipal pool and surrounding areas, and enforce policies and rules. The role requires evening, weekend, and holiday work, plus a commitment of at least 12 hours per week.

Candidates must pass StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Training including first aid and CPR/AED within 30 days of hire, and a swim test during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Must pass StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Training including first aid and CPR/AED within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass a required swim test during the interview process.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas to prevent drownings and injuries.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and rescue swimmers in danger.
• Provide quality swim lesson instruction.
• Participate in maintenance and cleaning of pool, locker rooms, deck, and surrounding facilities.
• Enforce pool rules while upholding guest services philosophy.
• Attend monthly in-service trainings and maintain regular attendance.
• Maintain records of activity levels and usage.
