Job summary

Celts-Aquatics-Group is seeking a responsible Lifeguard on a casual basis to monitor assigned zones, prevent hazards, enforce pool rules, and ensure the safety of all patrons.

The ideal candidate will hold current Lifeguarding certification or be willing to train in First Aid, CPR, and AED; able to work evenings, some weekends, and early mornings. Strong swimming, physical fitness, and excellent communication are essential, with Starguard or American Red Cross accepted.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current Lifeguarding certification or willingness to train in First Aid, CPR and AED (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work evenings, some weekends, and early morning shifts.
• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Starguard Cert preferred; Ellis & American Red Cross accepted. Will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned zones to ensure the safety of all swimmers and patrons.
• Prevent hazards by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions promptly.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations consistently and fairly.
• Conduct water surveillance and maintain constant vigilance.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, including performing rescues.
• Provide basic first aid and BLS including AED and oxygen as needed.
• Perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks during downtime to maintain a safe environment.

This role requires strong water surveillance skills, emergency response capabilities, and the ability to perform rescues and provide first aid when necessary.

• Prevent hazards by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions promptly.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations consistently and fairly.
• Conduct water surveillance and maintain constant vigilance.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing rescues.
• Provide basic first aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) including AED and oxygen administration as needed.
• Perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks during downtime to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Current certification in Lifeguarding, or be willing to train in First Aid, CPR, and Basic Life Support (AED/Oxygen) preferred or willingness to obtain.

Work Schedule

This is a casual position with flexible hours. Availability for evening shifts and some weekends required. Shifts include: 6:15a-11:30a; 4:30p-8:30p on weekdays; Saturdays: between 7:15am-7:30pm; Sundays 8:15a-11:45a.
