Lifeguards will maintain a safe, fun environment around the pool during Summer Camp. Needed: March 19th to October 29th. Schedule from March 24th - June 5th: 2:00 - 6:00 pm or 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Starting June 11th: 8-hour days, schedules vary, but 9:00 am - 6:00 pm is required.

Job Duties

1. Remain stationed at opposite ends of the pool at all times.
2. Follow the 5-5-5 rule: stand for 5 minutes, sit for 5 minutes, walk for 5 minutes.
3. Stay within 1 foot of the pool edge at all times.
4. Supervise children in the pool area visually at all times.
5. Lock the pool area when no lifeguard is present.
6. Supervise scheduled swim lessons and ensure safety and fun.
7. Ensure children are scheduled for lessons and transported properly.
8. Start lessons on time.
9. Maintain cleanliness and check pool chemicals and filters daily.
10. Remove debris and maintain the pool area.

Essential Skills & Experience

1. At least 1 year of Lifeguard experience.
2. Certification as a Lifeguard, CPR, and preferably CPO.
3. Must be 18 or older.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficient with technology for communication.
