YMCA of the North Shore in Gloucester, MA, is hiring certified lifeguards for fall shifts at multiple North Shore locations. Earn a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days and enjoy flexible, part-time hours with shifts including mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.

Starting pay is $16 per hour, with higher rates based on certifications and experience. Not certified? free training available through YMCA; you may qualify for certification on the job.

Qualifications

• Lifeguarding certification required and current.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• First Aid certification required.
• Minimum age 16 years.
• Availability for both weekday and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor the pool and maintain a safe environment for members and participants.
• Respond to emergencies and follow YMCA safety procedures.
• Create a welcoming and positive experience for members and program participants.
• Maintain a clean and organized pool area.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
