Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Spotsylvania County, VA is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure guest and associate safety across waterpark pools, hot tubs, slides, and attractions, applying life-saving skills and first aid as needed.

The role involves supporting daily startup and closure of water park attractions, following health and safety regulations, and helping keep the park clean; pay ranges from $15 to $20 per hour with opportunities for advancement to Deep Water Guards or Head Guards.

Qualifications

• Must pass lifeguard certification.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting occupancy.
• Minimum 1 year lifeguard experience preferred.
• Must be at least 15 years old due to state laws.

Responsabilités

• Understand policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and training for all waterpark venues.
• Apply lifeguarding skills and first aid as needed.
• Comply with federal, state, county and municipal health, safety and labor regulations.
• Escort incidents to first aid and file proper rescue reports; ensure guest injuries follow protocol.
• Assist with daily startup/closure of water park attractions and maintain park cleanliness.

Lifeguard

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aLifeguard.In this role, you will be responsible for the safety of guests/associates in all pools, hot tubs, slides, attractions, and interactive features in all the waterpark areas; applying life-saving skills and first aid to any guest who is in need.

For those applicants with more experience, we are also hiring for Deep Water Guards, as well as Head Guards.

As part of our team,you’llembody our Promise toLead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences.You’llensure that all guests feel welcome and safe and aregiven responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.

Pay Rate - $15 - $20/Hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, safetyguidelinesand training programs for all waterpark venues
• Apply lifesaving skills and first aid to any guest/associate who is in need.
• Fully understand andcomply withall Federal, State, County and Municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of waterpark outlets/venues, associates, and guests
• Make sure all incidents of guests are escorted to firstaidand rescue reports are filled out properly and that all guest injuries are checked on with the proper Kalahari protocol.
• Assistwith daily startup and closure proceduresofwater park attractions, indoor and outdoor, including trash removal, towel collection, equipment, tubes, and lost and found, and park cleanliness.

WhatWe’reLooking For

• You must passa lifeguardcertification to be qualified for this position.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment that is constantly changing based on room occupancy, group, and local business
• Minimum 1 year lifeguard experience is preferred but not required. Experience working in a large resort or recreational/waterpark venue is helpful.
• Must meet the minimum age of 15 years old due to state laws & regulations
