Job summary

Arcis Golf at The Woodlands location is hiring a lifeguard to ensure guest safety around the pool and water features. You will respond to emergencies, perform first aid/CPR, and supervise entertainment activities while maintaining a clean pool area.

The role emphasizes excellent guest service, communication, and strict adherence to pool rules. Evening and weekend shifts may be required at The Woodlands, TX location.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Lifeguard certification with CPR/AED and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of guests around pool and water features.
• Respond to emergencies; perform first aid and CPR/AED; assist EMS as needed.
• Provide supervised entertainment and maintain pool area cleanliness.
• Enforce rules; maintain pleasant guest relations and timely communication.
• Support management with special projects and stay updated on department developments.

Description

Ensures the safety of guests in and around pool and other water features; responds to inappropriate behavior and emergencies.

Essential Functions

• Takes primary responsibility for the health, wellbeing and happiness for guests using pool and water features.
• Recognizes and resolves individual or group behavior issues or problems; ensures pool rules are followed.
• Provides and supervises entertainment activities for guests participating in the location’s pool and water feature activities.
• Responds to medical emergencies; performs first aid, CPR/AED; stabilizes guest until the arrival of EMS.
• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of pool equipment and facility.
• Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations.
• Performs special projects delegated by management.
• Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Applicants must hold a current First Aid/CPR/AED card. Current required local and/or state professional certification and/or license; proven lifeguard skills; and demonstrated outstanding customer service. Must possess willingness to learn and perform new pool and water feature programs and activities, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, drive and motivation. Flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret retail product labeling. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Wages: $17.50 +DOE

Pay Range: $16.66 - $30.00
