Job summary

Sylvan a Lifeguard & Swim Instructor role is available at our school and community pool. The successful candidate will safeguard swimmers, assist with swimming lessons, and respond to emergencies under the Aquatics Manager and Head Lifeguard.

Strong communication with kids and adults, calm decision-making under pressure, and independent work style are essential. Certifications in CPR/AED, Lifeguard, and WSI are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)
• Lifeguard Certification and/or Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
• Ability to teach swimming lessons (if WSI certified)

Responsibilities

• Physically safeguard all swimmers using the pool facilities.
• Teach swimming lessons (for candidates with current WSI certification).
• Respond quickly and calmly during emergency situations under guidance.

Are you certified, quick on your feet, and passionate about keeping our pool community safe? We’re looking for reliable lifeguards to protect swimmers and help teach swimming lessons at our school and community pool!

Key Responsibilities

• Physically safeguard all swimmers using the pool facilities.
• Teach swimming lessons (for candidates with current WSI certification).
• Respond quickly and calmly during emergency situations under the guidance of the Aquatics Manager and Head Lifeguard.

Required Certifications
