Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools ISD 194 is seeking a Lifeguard to supervise the aquatics area and ensure swimmer safety. You will respond to emergencies and oversee open swim, swim lessons, and private rentals. The role requires maintaining current lifeguard certifications and completing trainings as scheduled.

The position emphasizes student safety, effective communication with parents and staff, and the ability to follow directions and instructions while supporting a busy aquatics program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or proof of Lifeguard class enrollment.
• Previous swimming experience desired.
• Ability to assist students in the water.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, co-workers and supervisor.
• Ability to follow directions and follow through on tasks.

Lifeguard

• The Lifeguard will oversee multiple activities including open swim, swim lessons and private rentals.
• Lifeguard is required to attend and complete all training and in-services, and expected to keep certifications current.
