Overview:

Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital Wellness Center is hiring a Lifeguard.

The Lifeguard oversees pools and activities of swimmers by enforcing rules and regulations. They provide supervision of the entire pool area and adjacent areas, complete daily cleaning tasks, and maintain water quality by testing and adjusting chemicals. They perform rescues and provide emergency care when necessary.

Education

• No specific education requirements

Certification/Licensure

• Certification in lifesaving and water safety from a recognized organization (e.g., American Red Cross, Ellis and Associates, American Aquatics and Safety Training, Star Guard) is required.
