Job description

Overview:
Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital Wellness Center is hiring a Lifeguard.

The Lifeguard oversees pools and activities of swimmers by enforcing rules and regulations. They provide regular supervision of the entire pool area and adjacent areas, complete daily cleaning tasks, and maintain the pool, including water chemistry readings and chemical application to ensure safety. They perform rescues of persons in distress or in danger of drowning and provide emergency care as needed.

Location: Harrisonburg, VA

Work Shift: Rotating

Education: No specific education requirements

Certification/Licensure: Certification in lifesaving and/or water safety from a recognized organization (e.g., American Red Cross, Ellis and Associates) is required.
