Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking an enthusiastic Lifeguard on‑call to join the aquatics team at our corporate client site in Anna, Ohio. This on‑call position supports a safe, friendly aquatic environment and requires maintaining lifeguard qualifications and performing routine water testing.

You will monitor patrons, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, and assist with towel folding and basic facility cleaning. Compensation ranges from $14–$15 per hour, commensurate with location and experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Strong customer service and dependability.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with member management systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and well-being of patrons in the aquatic facility.
• Enforce rules and explain them to guests.
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed.
• Perform chemical testing and document results for three water bodies and a hot tub daily.
• Attend required staff meetings and training; assist with facility upkeep.

In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the safety of participants, responding to emergencies, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting a positive and enjoyable aquatic environment.Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.Key AccountabilitiesMonitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.Enforce and explain rules as necessary.Respond appropriately to any emergency.Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.Attend all required staff meetings and training.Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.Maintain a professional attitude.Other duties as needed/assigned.Minimum RequirementsMust be at least 16 years old.American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $14 - $15 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
