Job summary

YMCA in Chicago area is seeking a Lifeguard to keep swimmers safe, respond to emergencies, and maintain a welcoming pool environment.

No prior lifeguarding experience is required as free training and certification are provided. The role offers flexible hours, including mornings and evenings, and access to a free YMCA membership while building essential life-saving skills and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• YMCA Aquatics Academy training or current YMCA/Red Cross certifications with First Aid, AED, CPR and Oxygen Administration.
• Physical mobility to use aquatic equipment and rescue a 200 lb person.
• Must remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.
• Able to meet physical requirements for job certification.
