Job description

We’re looking for a responsible & positive Lifeguard for our growing Swim School. For this role, dependability & great attitude are key. You’re a team player & love going the extra mile helping children become safer in and around the water. You have a passion for maintaining safety & communicating fairly & consistently. You enjoy a positive work culture and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining focus. Lifeguard experience/certification is preferred.

This is a part time position located in Boise for 10-30 hours a week. Hours are flexible and can include weekdays, weekends, mornings or afternoons/evenings. Pay is $13-$14 depending on experience.

Shifts needed:

M-Fri 345pm-730pm

T, W, F & S 830am-1230pm

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of an accident or emergency
• Communicates the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Ensures that medical services are contacted by most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency
• Advance through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary
• Provide a Golden Experience to our students, families & team members

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age requirement is 16
• Ability to work with children
• Ability to learn, be trained & coached
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Lifeguard certification and CPR/AED and First Aid certification required (provided by us)
• Experience as a certified lifeguard & swimming experience are preferred
• Attends required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours
• Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity, noise level is usually moderate
