Company Description

The Aspen Hill Club is the premier tennis and fitness club in Montgomery County, conveniently located in Silver Spring, minutes from Rockville and Olney. The club offers a 120,000 square foot facility equipped with the latest cardio and weight lifting equipment, and over 35 group exercise classes including Body Pump, studio cycling, aerobics, Zumba, Yoga, and Pilates. It is also home to one of the top Tennis Clubs in the Washington, DC area, providing year-round play on clay and hard courts. The facility includes a full basketball court, 5 racquetball courts, and a 25-meter lap pool with private swim lessons and a range of aquatic classes.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Aspen Hill, MD for a Lifeguard. The Lifeguard will be responsible for overseeing the safety of the pool area, preventing and responding to emergencies, performing water rescues, administering first aid and CPR as needed, and maintaining pool cleanliness. The role also includes monitoring swim activities and ensuring rules and regulations are followed to maintain a safe environment for all patrons.

Qualifications

• Strong swimming ability and knowledge of lifeguarding techniques
• Certified in CPR and First Aid
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous lifeguarding experience is a plus
• Attention to detail and strong awareness of safety protocols
• High school diploma or equivalent
