Join Our Team as a Lifeguard in Waldorf, Maryland

High Sierra Pools, Inc. is hiring lifeguards, pool managers, and area lifeguards for the summer season in Waldorf. We offer some of the highest pay rates in the industry for certified lifeguards!

If you have good swimming skills and want a fun summer job that makes a difference in your community, consider joining us. We provide flexible schedules including full-time, part-time, and weekend-only shifts.

Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities

• Open and close the pool daily according to scheduled hours
• Maintain proper chemical levels in the pool
• Monitor pool activities and ensure safety throughout your shift
• Assist swimmers in dangerous situations
• Keep an eye on weather conditions to ensure guest safety
• Organize and oversee pool parties
• Provide swim lessons and coach swim teams as applicable
• Maintain a clean pool environment

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR-AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications
• At least 16 years old
• Two or more years of lifeguard experience
• Current ARC certification
• Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Lifeguarding certification
• Positive attitude and readiness to help others
• Dependable and reliable
• Successful completion of a pre-employment in-water skills test
• Experience coaching swim teams and teaching swimming lessons
• Ability to pass background check and drug test if required
