Job summary

Allegheny Health Network LifeFlight is seeking an experienced Flight Paramedic for its steady night shift program. Responsibilities include providing advanced emergency medical care in transport, collaborating with RN partners and control, and ensuring patient safety across multiple LifeFlight bases in PA.

Minimum five years as a full-time paramedic and at least one year with LifeFlight are required, along with a PA Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege.

Qualifications

• 5 years full-time paramedic experience in high-demand emergency service.
• At least 1 year of LifeFlight experience as a Flight Paramedic.
• PA Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania (Paramedic level).
• Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS).

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced critical care life support and medical care per protocols and PA DOH regulations.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to plan care for safe transport of acutely ill or injured patients.
• Acts as an ambassador of LifeFlight with professional appearance and conduct.
• Ensures safe transport of patients and maintains safety around aircraft/vehicles.
• Participates in LifeFlight quality assurance activities and LEAN initiatives; completes education requirements.
