Job summary

Rockwell Automation's Leadership Development Program is an onboarding program designed to provide associates with the training and experience needed to begin developing their technical and professional leadership skills within Rockwell Automation's Lifecycle Services Business Unit.

As an associate on the Managed Support Services team, you will gain experience through classroom training, mentoring, and networking while interacting with Rockwell leaders and exposure to automation technology across

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Permanent legal authorization to work in the US is required.
  • Relocation may be required every six months depending on opportunities and rotations.
  • Graduated in the past three years with a technically focused degree.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.2+ on a 4.0 scale.
  • Demonstrated experience approaching challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Proven experience collaborating with and leading peers and managers to achieve project goals with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • A creative mindset that allows you to problem-solve effectively and embrace new challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide troubleshooting assistance via phone, email and remote access for Rockwell Automation products to customers and partners.
  • Identify and correct failures, firmware problems and programming deficiencies, and implement hardware/firmware updates.
  • Instruct/train customers on proper use, operation and maintenance of Rockwell products.
  • Respond to customer needs with swift, quality responses and maintain clear communication with team and customers.
  • Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Provide technical assistance for sales presentations to customers.
  • Consult on application of products and technologies for manufacturing processes.
  • Build collaborative relationships and embrace Rockwell's diversity, equity and inclusion.

As an associate on the Managed Support Services team, you will...


  • Gain experience in technical and leadership competencies through classroom training, mentoring, career planning and networking. Additionally, you will have a high level of interaction with Rockwell Automation's leaders.

  • Be exposed to industrial automation technology that is developed within Rockwell Automation's major business segments to support The Connected Enterprise. This may include software for automation, programmable automation controllers, intelligent motor control, machine safety, process control, industrial security, cloud computing, industrial Ethernet, motion control, industrial components, variable-frequency drives, and more.

  • Experience Rockwell Automation products across a variety of industries.


Rotational Program Overview


  • Technical & Professional Training: Engineer in Training Program

  • Location for EIT Program: Mayfield Heights, OH

  • Time: 5 Months

Your Responsibilities


  • Provide troubleshooting assistance via phone, email and remote access for Rockwell Automation products and technologies to Rockwell Automation field service personnel, distributors, integrators, and customers.

  • Identify and correct failures, firmware problems and programming deficiencies, and the implementation of hardware/firmware updates and upgrades.

  • Instruct/train customers on proper use, operation, and maintenance (of Rockwell Automation Products).

  • Respond to customer needs, ensuring a swift and quality response while keeping relevant parties informed, sets, and maintains communication with team and customer

  • Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Provide technical assistance for sales presentations to customers.

  • Consult regarding the application of products, technologies, manufacturing processes and industry-specific applications.

  • Build collaborative relationships and embrace the Rockwell culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.


The Essentials - You Will Have


  • Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
