Job summary

Caltrol is seeking a Lifecycle Services Technician I to join our Taft, CA team. This role blends field service and shop work, traveling up to 40% to customer facilities and service centers while performing repairs and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a mechanical/industrial/maintenance/technical role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience using hand tools and common shop equipment.
• Valid driver's license with good record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC card.
• Ability to meet customer site access requirements including DISA/ASAP screening.
• Must pass hair follicle drug testing including marijuana.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and rebuilding control valves, actuators, and instrumentation.
• Performing preventive maintenance, calibrations, diagnostics, and equipment overhauls.
• Disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling mechanical equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Working at customer facilities and in Caltrol service centers.
• Inspecting equipment and documenting repair findings, test results, and recommended corrective actions.
• Learning industry best practices for safety, reliability, quality, and equipment performance.
• Providing exceptional service while building strong customer relationships.
• Participating in ongoing technical training and certification programs.
• Adhering to all safety policies, PPE requirements, and customer site standards.
