Caltrol, Inc. in Taft, CA is seeking a mechanically inclined technician for a role blending field service and shop work at our Taft service center. You will troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, actuators, and instrumentation, with travel up to 40% to customer facilities and Emerson locations.

The position emphasizes hands-on maintenance, safety, and reliability, with opportunities for training, certification, and career growth within our ESOP-owned organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of mechanical/industrial experience.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to obtain TWIC card and pass DISA/ASAP screening programs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, test, and rebuild control valves, actuators, and instrumentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, diagnostics, and overhauls.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble mechanical equipment.
• Work at customer sites and in Caltrol service centers.
• Inspect repair findings and test results; recommend actions.
• Learn safety, reliability, quality, and performance practices.
• Provide exceptional service and build customer relationships.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs.
