• Provide for effective life cycle management for assigned programs, including acquisition, development, testing, production, integration and sustainment, and financial management.
• Coordinate all functions and disciplines related to the acquisition of the assigned systems/equipment, overseeing planning, direction, execution and control of procurement and support.
• Develop acquisition strategies that serve as framework for integral activities and create program management documents.
• Work with program office personnel to define goals and prepare comprehensive program plans for goals and schedules.
• Determine resource needs and allocate resources (funding, manpower, facilities) for life-cycle management.
• Lead team building and coordinate logistics, engineering and other support within NAWCAD/NAVAIR and at field activities, labs and contractors’ facilities.
• Provide advisory input to higher-level officials on program status and problems requiring resolution or schedule adjustments.
• Coordinate all functions/disciplines related to the acquisition of the assigned system; manage procurement and support activities.
